Well, now that I am finished with my DPT, I can focus on Baby Ellarie. So far the doctor says she think she is just a small little girl. We go back for an US on Monday to measure her growth. We are up to doctor appts every 2 weeks until week 36. We have been working on getting her room ready and getting things set up to remodel our bathroom and closet so that we can have more storage space for all the things that come with a baby.
Right now we are in the process of making some very important decisions. Pediatrician and Day Care.
Although I wish that I could stay at home with Ellarie, that is not financially feasible. She is on the waitlist for the Chapman Development Learning Center at SJMC. If they call us and tell us that there is an opening, we can pay to retain a spot or put our name back on the waitlist. Ridiculous!!! I am not going to pay for you to do nothing especially in an economy like this. We are looking for alternatives. While we want good care for her, money is an issue. I am not going to pay an arm and leg for childcare, I do want great care for Ellarie. We are looking at home care, but we don't know anyone in the area, which means we will be visiting places that I found of the okdhs website. :/
We are also interviewing pediatricians. I found 3 groups that I was interested in that have rights to treat at SJMC. One group, the receptionist was extremely rude...so if I don't like the other 2, then I might reconsider. We are looking at Pediatric and Adolescent Care and Tulsa Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
We welcome input. This is a lot of work. A lot of appointments!

Update on Ellarie...
Well, Jonathan and I went to the doctor today. First of all our appointment was at 130. We got there at 125 and went to US. Then arrived back to doctor's office at 145. We did not get called back until 3:00. Frustrating.
We found out that Ellarie dropped from the 13th to the 8th percentile. Under 10th percentile is small for gestational age and could be a growth problem. Our doctor seems to think that she is just small, but I am going back next monday for an US to check the cord blood flow and blood glucose test (this is standard at this point in the pregnancy). In 2 weeks, we go back to the doctor. In 3 weeks, we go back for the growth measurements US.
We are praying that we just have a tiny baby girl!

One Year Anniversary!!
We celebrated our first anniversary on July 11, 2010. If you would have asked me a year ago when we were going to have kids...I would have said definitely not in the next 3 years. Haha! Was I wrong. So....we didn't get to enjoy our european wine we bought on our honeymoon, but we did celebrate together. After church we went to Old School Bagel Cafe - one of my fav - for brunch. Then I had to work on my case report for my DPT program. I felt like we were back at OSU studying together. :) We went to dinner at Redrock Canyon Grill....then went for dessert at home....wedding cake!!!
Mom got us a 6 inch from IGA - they made our cake...so it was fresh, but looked like our wedding cake!

Of course we shared with the girls. They were pretty excited....

Ellarie Paige...and a little update.
Well, I went to my continuing education course...on my own dimes. Houston is crazy! There was so much traffic. It took me an hour and fifteeen to get from my aunt's house to the school campus and then I had to pay $9/day for parking with no re-entry. I am glad I live in Tulsa. I found out on Monday that work was going to reimburse me for the course. That is good. Everything else (plane ticket, car rental, and meals) are out of our pocket. Yuck!
One of the perks...my aunt is a genetic counselor and I was able to get a 3D image of Ellarie Paige! She moved her hand and we got a great picture!
We are so excited to meet her. Jonathan has been able to feel her moving around, which is pretty exciting. We are also excited about our anniversary/babymoon vacation that we were able to plan. We had a trip to LA planned before we found out we were pregnant so that we could run the Disneyland half marathon! I can still go and we are still participating. My dad will be there too because he was there for the Disneyworld Full Marathon in January...and don't think this will be Ellarie's first Half Marathon. It will actually be her 4th. We ran one in February, one in April and One in June. After the race, Jonathan and I are going over to Santa Monica to spend 2 days on the Pacific Ocean - the first time for both of us to hit the west coast. We are really looking forward to it. If anyone wants to offer rides to and from the airport...we would love them. $ for parking is ridiculous! I am always willing to help you in return :)
Well, I am working on my Capstone project to finish my DPT...so I better get back to work!

Oh...Jonathan has also decided he will be participating in the Redman Half Ironman...so he will be training for this crazy 70.3 miles. Yikes!
Got most of my registries done. Kind of frustrating because I want to register at Target....but they don't have everything...so I went to Babies R Us. And my in laws requested Walmart. And my running stroller is through Fleet Feet. I am pretty excited about my running stroller though...take a look!
I can't wait to take her running. There is an adapter piece that allows you to put her infant seat on the stroller. Yay!

Crazy week...with a cherry on top!
Lets just say this was a crazy week. We were short staffed because a co-worker was on vacation...which is not that big of a deal. But on Monday, a therapist that was scheduled to work Thursday came in with a sling....she wrecked her bike. A german shepard ran in front of her while she was riding by herself (she is an avid triathlete). This meant we would be short 2 therapists on Thursday so 3 people would carry 5 therapists case loads. We worked hard and had long days, but it worked out. Wednesday...co-worker goes to meet and help a new patient get dressed. (New patients usually come from the hospital in a gown, but are "medically stable") and her intestines are hanging out of her abdomen. Hmm...which nurse missed that??? Thursday was LOOOONG - I saw my caseload + more than half of someone elses caseload...which really isn't the difficult part. The difficult part is the paperwork. YUCK!!! Then Friday, the 4th therapist (which means we are still short a therapist) was late because she busted her eye open on the car door. Scramble and reschedule...and work late for the 5th day in a row. Then at 2:30 there was an explosion....and I mean explosion a patients ileostomy bag busted all over him and the floor. Poor guy it was everywhere...even in his shoes. We found out at 4:00 (430 is the end of the therapy day in the hospital) there will be a 2nd new patient...meaning I will definitely be work a 6th day.
Saturday AM - go for my long run with fleet feet. Shower, eat, then go to work. When I arrive I found out that the 1st new patient they brought on Friday discharge back to the hospital - ICU!!! Medically Stable for therapy??? I think not!. I meet the other new patient...who has suffered a brain injury - traumatic, but relatively mild....my grandparents age. I finished my first session with him and went to get my next 2 patients out of bed. One was angry that I was making him work on a Saturday, but got of bed and came to the gym. As I was helping him get back into his chair from the therapy table, I noticed he had a BM all over the mat. Just wait this is not quite the cherry on top of my wonderful week....After I cleaned up the mat (the nurse aid cleaned the patient). I went back to meet the new patient and finish his evaluation. I had one thing left to examine, but he told me that he couldn't do anymore because he needed to go to the bathroom. I took him to his room and helped him to the toilet. I instructed him to pull the call light when he was finished. I went to the nurses station and gave his nurse a heads up that he wanted tylenol for his headache. She came to his room to administer the meds approx 5 min later ( I have been waiting outside his door) I told her she may want to just catch him at lunch as it was now nearly noon. I knocked on the door and asked him if he was okay. He said yes. I began to hear the sound of plastic rustling around. I was puzzled because the only things in the bathroom are toilet paper, toilet, sink, and shower. Hmm....
Then it hit me...his "buddy" came by and gave him a magazine....you know...one of those that always come in plastic. Yep! you got it! Cherry on top! What a week. I notified the RN and nurse aide of the situation and decided that the one thing I had left to examine was going to be documented as "not tested". Who knows how long he was going to be in there?
Hope your week was just as fun!

The Bachelorette
So I kind of like this blog because I can type about things that my husband does not care about. I can't watch the bachelorette live because we don't have cable, but I watch it on hulu.
Does anyone else think that Kasey is CREEPY and cheesy? I think he is too intense and fake. His voice is so weird!!! A Tattoo???? Really? You are absolutely crazy! When she finds out you are gone!!!
Jonathan "the weatherman" is a geek and a loser. I was not impressed by the serenade, neither was Ali.
Ty. Cute Country boy...hope we get to see him more.
Roberto. Pearly whites. Handsome stud. So sweet.
Frank - Funny man. I like him. def has potential. You are right Kasey is nuts!!!
Kirk - He's growing on me. I think he is genuine.
Justin - I don't think he is as bad as the guys do...but I don't like him much.
Craig - Really not impressed yet. Not cute.
Jesse - Very cute. Wish she would have kept him and given Kasey the boot!
Chris L - Like him a lot. he is cute and really sweet.
Chris N. - Who are you?
Overall....these guys make me really love and appreciate my husband.

Frustrated and Stuck!!!
So I am really frustrated at my job right now. First of all, we have a lot of patients and we are short staffed (because it is summer and people are taking vacation)...which happens occasionally and I can deal with, but it is really frustrating when a few people are not being a team player but are rather playing for the opposing team and are passive aggressive about many things. Passive aggressiveness is one of my least favorite qualities. This makes my job more difficult and more stressful. It is a good thing that I like what I do and that work with me.
On another note...I am frustrated because I submitted for CEU reimbursement money for the course I am taking at TWU this summer (It will count as nearly all of my continuing education) but there is a glitch with the budget and there is no money for outside seminars. Well, I submitted in March and found out the problem at the end of May. Money was due June 1, so I paid the nearly 1,000 out of my pocket. I have still not heard anything about the glitch and resolution to the problem. A coworker was approved for 2 courses after I submitted as an oversight before the budget was found to be at 0.00. There is money in our on-site budget, but I do not need any of that since my requirements will be completed with my DPT classes. I (and other staff) was promised what I believe to be $1200 ever CEU period which this time is Jan 2010 - Dec 2012. This waiting period is so frustrating. I am stuck. I need some answers soon.
Obviously this has not been a good week at work. I am hoping that things begin to look up, but I doubt it since I am working this saturday in order to get a free PDO to use when Ellarie is here. I just want one day where things will work a little better.
To add to the stress...with all of the Thunderstorm that we had yesterday, Jonathan and I were not able to run - which believe it or not usually relaxes me. I am hoping he will feel up to running when he gets home from his bike ride with his buddy. He is considering doing a half ironman in September...I hope he decides soon.
Hoping that tomorrow is better than today.

Blog...
New to the Blog world...as a follower and a blogger. I am going to try this thing out. Hopefully I will have something to say about my adventures as a wife, mommy-to-be, and runner. Tonight seemed like the perfect night to start given that it is storming outside (flooding in OKC) and I can't go running with my Hubby. We normally run on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday with Fleet Feet Sports running program. This summer we are participating in the "Sweat Hogs" program so that we can get a free shirt and because my last race as prego runner will be on 09/04/10 at Disneyland.
Hopefully I will have some interesting things to say as the summer unfolds and my belly continues to grow.
